@article{oai:nagoya.repo.nii.ac.jp:02009782, author = {小西, 真理子 and KONISHI, Mariko}, journal = {JunCture : 超域的日本文化研究}, month = {Mar}, note = {This paper critically examines Carol Gilligan’s “an ethic of care as a human ethic”: a viewthat has already been articulated in her book Joining the Resistance (2011) but is more prominent in the title and content of her new book In a Human Voice (2023). First, the paper discusses the background of Gilligan’s assertion that “an ethic of care is a human ethic,” focusing on the debates that arose after the publication of her main work, In a Different Voice (1982), while positioning Joining the Resistance as Gilligan’s own response to debate. Second, the paper points out that the “an ethic of care as human ethic” presented in Joining the Resistance might marginalize people with autism spectrum disorder or create a hierarchy based on “empathy” by placing it at the core of an ethic of care and positioning it as an important factor in human evolution. Third, the paper discusses the changes between Joining the Resistance and In a Human Voice, noting that In a Human Voice mentions Greta Thunberg, who has Asperger’s Syndrome, as a resister who has escaped the “initiation” of patriarchal culture. Therefore, the paper considers the relationship between “an ethic of care” and “different voices” that can coexist with such ethics, rather than denying an ethic of care that focuses on “empathy” as discussed in Joining the Resistance.}, pages = {8--21}, title = {〈人間の倫理としてのケアの倫理〉に対する批判的考察 : 『もうひとつの声で』、『抵抗への参加』、『人間の声で』を通して}, volume = {15}, year = {2024} }
