Things that do not exist or cannot be perceived are considered to be in “backgrounded” containers, and being is seen as going outside of the container. The abundance in elementary social studies textbooks of the basic way of perceiving the situation through the containerization/contentification of the object and the in/out/into/within the container demonstrates the fundamental nature of the container metaphor. Through the analysis of this paper, we were also able to clarify that when things are gathered together, the whole has an outline and can be easily perceived as a container, as well as the existence of metaphorical expressions in which the relationship between container and contents is nested.
