| 内容記述 | Based on a case study of Ochakko Salon Renrakukai, which was launched in Kamaishi City after the Great East Japan Earthquake, this study determined whether “the network of altruistic practice” an idea advocated by Inaba, could be formed and function effectively among various relief groups as they collaborate with one another in the disaster area. The study also analyzed the religious characteristics of these relief groups and the manifestation of “harmony ethics”. Ochakko Salon Renrakukai was formed by Kamaishi City Council of Social Welfare and various relief groups for the purpose of exchanging information about the disaster area and relief activities. One of the characteristics of this organi zation was the participation of many religious groups. As they improved the quality of relief activities, these participating groups shared information with one another, showed respect to one another, and compensated for one another ’s weaknesses. Participants belonging to these groups deepened their friendship with one another and sometimes hosted events jointly for disaster victims. These groups were loosely connected with one another as equal collaborators. Participants emphasized altruism and sincerity, building a relationship through which they influenced and motivated one a nother. Thus, this case demonstrated the formation of “the network of altruistic practice” that functioned effectively. The fact that Kamaishi City and the Kamaishi City Council of Social Welfare laid the groundwork for various relief groups to work together and served as a buffer for these groups is also noteworthy. Furthermore, these religious groups tended to subdue one another ’s proselyting activities and religiousity as they were influenced by their cooperative relationship and the policies of the municipality. Their behavior was fundamentally driven by the altruistic spirits of providing relief to disaster victims. Therefore, there was a sense in which Ochakko Salon Renrakukai facilitated relief activities by making participants work in harmony with one another. | |||||||||
