| 内容記述 | This article shows that in Entretiens avec le Professeur Y, Louis-Ferdinand Céline references historical events and figures to portray himself as a mistreated hero despite his dedication to France. He describes the accident on the Chella, where he worked as a ship’s doctor in January 1940, as if it were an attack on a British Navy vessel. Céline states that he had exacted revenge for the Battle of Trafalgar, a traumatic defeat for the French, and asserts that his incarceration in Denmark from 1945 to 1947 was a consequence of this incident. As the actual reason for his arrest was the French government’s accusation of treason, it is clear that Céline does not present the complete truth. Furthermore, despite his criticisms of the French Revolution in previous works, Céline expresses outrage over his unjust imprisonme nt, citing figures from the French Revolution like Mirabeau and Robespierre. He draws parallels between their circumstances and his own, attempting to situate himself within the continuum of French history. Nevertheless, the “achievements” recounted in this work can be interpreted as a satire on his selfdefense after World War II, particularly against his reputation as a collaborationist. In conclusion, this study finds that Céline references French history in Entretiens avec le Professeur Y because he perceives a connection to it during his incarceration and self-defense. | |||||||||
