| 内容記述 | This study aimed to examine the Minwa movement of the 1970s and 1980s, focusing on the retellings and “Murabanashi (village tales),” using the magazine “Minwa no Techo” as the main object of analysis. In the second phase of the movement, citizens actively collected folktales (saihou). Some of those who participated in the retelling of folktales (saiwa) developed a real sense of independence not only as listeners but also as writers and storytellers of folktales. The experience of collecting and retelling folktales also stimulated discussions about the concept of “Minwa” itself. The “Murabanashi (village tales)” that appeared in “Minwa no Techo” is a new genre of folktales and is notable for its ability to shake up the conventional concept of “folktales.” | |||||||||
