| 内容記述 | Siblings of individuals with disabilities are affected in multiple ways by the presence of peers with disabilities, necessitating continuous support from early childhood. However, the focus of support measures taken to date has been on the children/adults with disabilities themselves, with limited support for their siblings, highlighting several inadequacies in the existing support framework. This study aimed to examine how the presence of a sibling with a disability affects the other sibling’s experiences as an elementary school student, thereby establishing a basis for a sibling support framework. The results of this study revealed that siblings in elementary school experienced both negative and positive emotions toward their peers and faced negative treatment from those around them. The findings suggest that support for siblings from an early stage is necessary in conjunction with support for the children themselves according to the developmental characteristics of their siblings. The family’s impact on siblings is also significant, necessitating support for parents in their upbringing of siblings. | |||||||||||||||||
