Landslide topography has been recognized in the Akadama area of Sado Island, Niigata Prefecture, located in the eastern Sea of Japan. In this study, we aim to provide new insights into the formation history of landslides in the Akadama area by measuring radiocarbon (14C) ages of plant fragments from sediment samples collected around Sugi-ike Pond, a landslide depression. The 14C age obtained in this study indicated that the landslide that formed Sugi-ike Pond may have occurred at least before the first half of the 3rd century BC. Pollen analysis showed that the pollen zone in this area is divided into two, SG-2 and SG-1, and the deciduous broadleaf forest, mainly consisting of Quercus serrata, is thought to have been formed by human influence. |

日本海東部に位置する新潟県佐渡島の赤玉地域では、地すべり地形が認められる。本研究では、赤玉地域の地すべり形成史に関する新たな知見を得るため、地すべり凹地と考えられる杉池周辺の堆積物を採取して14C年代を測定した。本研究で得られた14C年代は、杉池を形成した地すべりは少なくとも紀元前3世紀前半以前に発生した可能性が高いことを示した。花粉分析ではSG-2とSG-1の2つの花粉帯に分けられ、コナラを主体とする落葉広葉樹林は人為的影卿を受けて形成されたと考えられる。 |
