| 内容記述 | 本研究では，動物園での動物との接触体験が子どもにもたらす内的な意味を，1組の母子の振り返りの語りから質的研究手法を用いて検討した．その結果，本事例では，都市での動物との接触が，動物と共に在る感覚や動物との情動的な同一化を子どもにもたらしたと考えられた．同時に，その環境が，動物のインプリンティングと同様の仕組みで，動物への家族的感覚の形成を子どもに促したと示唆された．この家族的感覚は，動物が生息空間内で見せるものと類似しており，これらのことは，動物との接触体験が，自然界への子どもの情緒的なつながりの形成に，どのように関わるのかを検討する際の手がかりになると考えられる．また，本事例の子どもは，各々の動物が保有する色や形態の特異性を一体一体探し出して楽しむという，動物を個としてとらえる姿勢を示したが，それは，子どもの好んだ，偶然を楽しむ自由な学習の中から生まれていた．このことから，動物園が学校とは異なるパラダイムの中に位置していることや，学校からの動物園訪問時では，偶然性や自由性をより尊重すべきであることが示唆される． | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | This study, employing a qualitative research method, explores the internal meanings derived from a child’s experiences of animal contact at zoos, based on reflective narratives from a mother-child pair. The findings suggest that, in this present study, contact with animals in an urban setting fostered emotional identification with animals, as well as a sense of co-existence with them. Furthermore, the environment was thought to promote the formation of a familial sense toward animals in the child, through a mechanism similar to imprinting observed in animals. This familial sense toward animals observed in the child appeared to resemble behaviours seen in animals within their natural habitats, offering insights into how emotional connections to the natural world may form in children. Additionally, the child demonstrated an approach of perceiving each animal as an individual, taking pleasure in discovering the unique colours and forms of each one. This perspective emerged from her self-directed learning style, characterized by spontaneity and the enjoyment of the unexpected. These findings suggest that zoos operate within a different paradigm from that of formal educational institutions. Accordingly, during school visits to zoos, greater emphasis should be placed on fostering spontaneity, contingency, and freedom in children’s learning experiences. | |||||||||
