We have also found that the upper frequency of VLF hiss which appear in advance of the break-up of over-head aurora reaches more than 100KHz and that the maximum energy of the spectrum is received at a frequency near to 10 KHz. Further it is suggested that VLF hiss in the auroral zone is generated by Cerenkov radiation process in the low altitude dark magnetosphere, and that it does not propagate to the middle and low latitudes.}, pages = {43--55}, title = {VLF HISS AT SYOWA STATION, ANTARCTICA}, volume = {17}, year = {1970} }
