The system is composed of a combination of YAG and dye lasers. The YAG laser is used for observing the density distribution of aerosols and obtaining the information on the size distribution of aerosols. The dye laser which is pumped by the YAG laser is used for gaseous constituents such as ozone by applying the DIAL method. A mini computer controls the system operation. This paper describes the composition of the system and some examples of preliminary aerosol observations and estimates the sensitivity of the system.}, pages = {25--35}, title = {A LASER RADAR SYSTEM FOR THE OBSERVATION OF MINOR ATMOSPHERIC CONSTITUENTS IN THE STRATOSPHERE}, volume = {30}, year = {1983} }
