 note = {A test observation of atmospherics fixing in LF band (50 KHz) was carried out by a crossed-loop system at two stations (Sakushima and Kagoshima), after a preliminary single-station observation for the comparison with VLF band. The results from these observations show that the fixing by LF band is more suitable for sources in shorter distance than VLF band, and locations fixed by LF band reflect well positions and movements of meteorologically active regions lying in and around Japan. Although the nearer the sources the larger becomes the ellipticity of polarization ellipse, the fixed positions are seen to correspond to the meteorologically active regions at a distance of a few hundred kilometers from the observing station.},
