However, it requires surface preparation work prior to the measurement. This research examines feasibility of the pulsed eddy current (PEC) thickness measurement method, which does not require the surface preparation prior to the measurement. The field thickness measurement of steel pipe piles and steel sheet piles by PEC is compared with UT.
