 note = {The purpose of this paper is to survey the present condition and research situation of the vocational qualification system in Japan, and to examine the future challenges, basing on author's precedence study. Reorganization and construction of the vocational qualification system to which many foreign countries are facing can also be viewed as one of the phenomenon of globalization. It can be said that the present state of our country is distant from such trends. Many studies on the vocational qualification in Japan don't notice this issue because they were so older studies and its issue is a little new one. The main reason why such special discussion has been risen may might depend on the changes of sub society systems such as the employment practice and the labor market. While activities of the enterprises are internationalized increasingly, it's difficult to maintain the Japanese characteristics in the employment practice and the labor market. It is a big challenge how we let the vocational qualification system adapt to the change of employment practice and the labor market.},
