But, the schizophrenia-problem is still a big matter for clinical practices. Though the arguement about this problem reached the peak around Blankenburg's (1971) theory of "the loss of natural self-evidence (der Verlust der naturlichen Selbstverstandlichkeit)," it was a discussion only about essential features not about the treatment of schizophrenia. Since then, it have been a challenge for us clinicians how to apply his excellent essential theory to practices. In this paper, we tried to examine this subject based on a concrete clinical case derived from a 25-year old female schizophrenic named here Yoko. In this case, we recognized the unbalance in "anthropological proportion" (a ratio of the height to the extent in existence) which is the state Binswanger called "Verstiegenheit." In her existence the vertical dimension between rising (ideal) and falling (anxiety) had been disproportionated to the horizontal dimension for walking (experience). Consequently, the world became narrowed and her standpoint in the living world was undermined. That is, she suffered a failure of being in the world by showing an essential feature of the schizophrenic. Our theraputic practices for her what were extend over 2 years were based upon the above-stated viewpoint. Our psychotherapy worked and she was almost cured. Through our practices, important points in psychotherapy for schizophrenics were made clear as follows. 1. We, psychotherapists should be supportive with an acceptability. Especially, it is necessary for the therapist to provide a psychological support to the schizophrenics, because they miss completely the bases of their self-existence. 2. We should let all members of their family take appropriate psychological distance. 3. We should encourage them to keep a balance between the vertical and the horizontal dimension as an existential state. Particularly to help them find own place of existence at home and to broaden the experience in the living world are very important. 4. Since "Verstiegenheit" means an unreal ideal-formation and also means a defense, it is rather dangerous for the therapist to breake it down. We ought to leave as it is, and let them direct themselves to the other reality. 5. Sensory training is indispensable. In Particular, there is necessity for us and their family members to teach them a "common sense" in everyday life., 国立情報学研究所で電子化したコンテンツを使用している。}, pages = {163--180}, title = {ある精神分裂病者の心理療法過程}, volume = {31}, year = {1984} }
