内容記述 | Causal attribution, expectation, desire, anxiety, emotion and so forth were inquired, setting up the following four occasions : (1) during or just after an examination, whose result is anticipated to be good, (2) during or just after an examination, whose result is anticipated to be poor, (3) after receiving an examination paper, whose result is really good, (4) after receiving an examination, whose result is really poor. The subjects were the eighth graders and replied to a set of questionnaire containing the four occasions stated above. Comparing the means of the items among the four occasions, the following features were seen : students meeting with failure tried to attribute it to some causes more frequently than did students meeting with success irrespective of the two points in time (i. e. during or just after an exam, and after receiving an exam paper.); positive emotion of self-esteem in success was not so strong as negative one in failure also irrespective of the two points. Factor analysis was carried out for each of the four occasions, and the factor scores of each occasion were compared among three groups of school achievement (good achievers, middle achievers, poor achievers). The main results were as follows : when meeting with success, expectation for good evaluation of good achievers was higher than that of poor achievers.; when meeting with success, poor achievers were apt to attribute their success to external causes in comparison with good achievers.; when meeting with failure, poor achievers were more likely to attribute their failure to external causes, showing more negative emotion of self-esteem as compared with good achievers. | |||||
