The condition of ozone-induced crack occurrence was identified. That is, cracks occurred in the regions with local tensile strain on the surface of rubber bearing by 40 degrees Celsius of temperature and 100 pphm of ozone density. Furthermore, the cracks were repaired by coating with polyethylene material. The repaired cracks were not extended under the same experimental condition.
