We have found that modern adolescents lay special emphasis on their own senses. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to clarify the validity of the social consciousness scale by Kuze et al (1988) more by examining the relations to some personality traits. Measured personaity traits were fascism, locus of control, and self-esteem. The subjects were 414 freshmen (212 boys and 202 girls). The used scales were the social consciousness scale by Kuze et al (1988), the facism scale by Ushijima and Sakamoto (1956), the locus of control scale by Kamahara et al (1982), and the self-esteem scale by Hoshino (1970). Factor analysis of the social consciousness scale revealed the same three factors as Kuze et al (1988). Factor I was labeled "respect for the norms", Factor II was labeled "focusing on his/her own life vs. indifferent to the social affairs", and Factor III was labeled "emphasis on one's own sense". Major findings are summarized as follows : (1) The more authoritarian they were, the higher their consciousness of the norms was. (2) Those who were internal control types lay more special emphasis on their own senses than those who were external. (3) The higher their self-esteems were, the more special emphasis they lay on their own senses. These results revealed that the social consciousness scale was valid. Further, it was reconfirmed that modern adolescents' primary feature was to lay special emphasis on their own senses., 国立情報学研究所で電子化したコンテンツを使用している。}, pages = {23--30}, title = {<原著>現代青年の規範意識と私生活主義 : パーソナリティ特性との関連について}, volume = {37}, year = {1990} }
