First, Dewey's impression of the Mexican society is explored in relation to his analysis of the influences of American capitalism upon business activities in Mexico. Also, his impressions of the newly-built schools and art education in Mexico are described as an evidence of the changing Mexican society. Second, the impact of Westernization in Turkey is examined with reference to the racial and religious conflicts among Greeks, Armenians, and Jews and to the subsequent separation of school education and religious teaching. Third, Dewey's analysis of the industrialization in China is discussed by referring to his description of a widening gap between the peoples' lives in industrialized cities and rural towns. Dewey's suggestion to construct the independent China is also examined in order to prevent the Japanese economic exploitation in China and to protect China from the invasion of foreign powers. In conclusion, it is proposed that a further examination of Dewey's observations of international education and culture be needed for the construction of the effective theory of cooperative intelligence in education.}, pages = {1--17}, title = {20世紀初期メキシコ・トルコ・中国における学校教育の役割 : デューイが見た革命的世界の学校・教育・文化}, volume = {10}, year = {2010} }
