First, the security of school life is on the topic focusing on the way to handle emergent events and troubles. This discussion is based on the programs. There is the fundamental way to handle emergency, and teachers are required to have the skills of that handling. What kind of the fundamental way and the skills are needed is discussed here. Second, the disaster safety education is on the topic. Our going-home groups have been organized in case of disasters. How these groups have been organized, and the tasks they have are described here. It is true that the guidelines and going-home groups for emergency, the trainings for teachers who are supposed to use them are very important. What is important is not only that but the usual student guidance and counseling as the base of handling the things with students in case of disaster. The student guidance in emergency shouldn't be just a superficial how-to instruction. To make it work meaningfully, teachers have to notice that the guidance in emergency is based on the usual counseling. Being conscious about this fact, teachers have to have the usual student counseling as such.
