This method is to transform an original data matrix to a similarity matrix, by using fuzzy operations and the resulting similarity matrix is used to the base of clustering the objects. In the result, the new distance measure defined from the similarity matrix satisfies the ultrametrix inequality proposed by Johnson (1967), and this method only uses rank order informations in the orginal data matrix so the result from this method is invariant under monotoric transformation, the clusters obtained from this method have hierarchical structure.
