To 894 nurse students who were enrolled in 7 different nursing education courses in 1988,question-nairs were administered during May-June of 1988 for a first year survey, during April-May of 1989 for the second, and during April-June of 1990 for the third. An available data size was 814 over time. Main findings are summarized as follows; Factor analyses on image scales of 4 key concepts (Nurse, Doctor, Patient, and Hospital) identified the congruent factor structures among the first, second, and third year survey. A series of factor-scale scores followed by the results of factor analyses were compared among different training programs and among different periods. The result was that the image scores of Nurse, Doctor, and Patient changed toward a negative direction with the passage of time, and a degree of the changes between the first and second year was larger than those between the second and third year that were found to be very small or negligible. The image scale scores of Patient changed positively with the passage of time.
