The term "self-disclosure", "impression management", "self-identification" and "impression regulation" are often used interchangably and then bring a confusion. Six viewpoints were proposed to distiniguish between these concepts and were as follows : primary motives, intention, concern to other's evaluation, information, target and communication channel. In this article, self-presentaion was defined that the conscious activity to communicate information about self in order to control the perception or evaluation of self formed by an audience. In classification of self-presentation, four viewpoints were showed : 1) self-enhancement or self-deprecation, 2) direct or indirect, 3) aquisitive or defensive, 4) Tedeschi & Norman's classification. According to the purpose of study, the choice of dimension is different.
