Subjects were 111 students. They were junior-high school and university students. They were investigated by means of a structured interview of INS in hypothetical interpersonal conflict situation. The results of investigation supported INS model, except 'Generating Alternative Strategies' (STEP 2). In addition, subjects expressed a greater sense of reciprocity or relationship-oriented perspective in situation with a friend than with parents in 'Selecting and Implementing a Strategy' (STEP 3), especially in 'Obstacle' and 'Strategy after obstacle'.
