For example, Prince Koretaka, Minamoto no Touru, Ariwara no Yukihira, they were losers in politics, helped one another, and enjoyed elegance. In this paper, I refer to Ki no Atitsune and Fujiwara no Toshiyuki. Aritsune was afriende of rather than a father-in-law of Ariwara no Narihira. In Chapter 16, even if Aritsune he had come down, he kept the beauty of the heart. His way of life deserves praise. But the theme of this chapter is Narihira’s behavior. Narihira understood the sorrow of the wife of Aritsune, gave many presents to Aritsune. Narihira’s warmhearted behavior is called Miyabi. Narihira is appreciated than Aritsune. The stories of chapter16 and 41 are similar. Narihira gave a poor brother-in-law green cloths. In this chapter, Narihira’s miyabi was praised, too. This brother-in-law was Fujiwara no Toshiyuki, a famous poet equal to Narihira. Narihira wrote love letters on behalf of a girl, Toshiyuki fell in love with her so badly. Narihira won to Toshiyuki in the poetry match. Some chapters of Isemonogatari might be written by Tosiyuki.}, pages = {339--350}, title = {伊勢物語の男たち : 紀有常と藤原敏行をめぐって}, volume = {2}, year = {2019} }
