 note = {The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan believes that Takeshima is a part of Japanese territory. This belief has been derived from a series of works by Kawakami Kenzo, which came to fruition in “A Historical and Geographical Study of Takeshima (1966).” Kenzo’s argument concerning the Edo period was founded on an investigation of the historical archives of the Oya family’s documents which was not opened to the public before. This paper try to reconstruct the historical image that Kawakami kenzo made, by using Oya family’s documents.},
