This article offers a close reading of Kawabata Yasunari’s Snow Country from a new perspective, focusing on his “Milky Way” haiku in this novel. What stories are inspired by the haiku and Milky Way? Specifically, I identify three stories: Basho’s story, Tanabatatsume’s story and stars appearing in Japanese mythology. Thereby, I provide a deeper understanding of the relationship between Shimamura and two women: Komako and Yoko. I compare Komako and Yoko to Tanabatsume. Tanabatatsume’s story affects women, and the stars appearing in Japanese mythology molds women’s destiny. Shimamura parts with Komako, and he leaves for Tokyo with Yoko. He doesn’t know these stories inspired by Basho’s “Milky Way” haiku. However, as I demonstrate through a close reading, that is why he is directed toward the direction of story of chained rings. Incidentally, at this time the “Milky Way” haiku is renewed by a new situation called “Snow Country.” Haiku changes the people in the novels, and the people change the haiku.","subitem_description_language":"en","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_9_identifier_registration":{"attribute_name":"ID登録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_identifier_reg_text":"10.18999/juncture.8.126","subitem_identifier_reg_type":"JaLC"}]},"item_9_publisher_32":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"名古屋大学大学院文学研究科附属「アジアの中の日本文化」研究センター","subitem_publisher_language":"ja"},{"subitem_publisher":"Japanese-in-Asia Cultural Research Center, Graduate School of Letters, Nagoya University","subitem_publisher_language":"en"}]},"item_9_select_15":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_select_item":"publisher"}]},"item_9_source_id_7":{"attribute_name":"ISSN(print)","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"1884-4766","subitem_source_identifier_type":"PISSN"}]},"item_access_right":{"attribute_name":"アクセス権","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_access_right":"open access","subitem_access_right_uri":"http://purl.org/coar/access_right/c_abf2"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"藤田, 祐史","creatorNameLang":"ja"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"95652","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"FUJITA, Yuji","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"95653","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2020-01-23"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"JunCture8_11.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.8 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"JunCture8_11.pdf","objectType":"fulltext","url":"https://nagoya.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/29121/files/JunCture8_11.pdf"},"version_id":"d2b515d0-6173-4718-bc04-6e5244d2d8e0"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"Snow Country","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Kawabata Yasunari","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"Basho","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"haiku","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"“Milky Way”","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"川端康成「雪国」論 : 「天の河」句と連環する物語","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"川端康成「雪国」論 : 「天の河」句と連環する物語","subitem_title_language":"ja"}]},"item_type_id":"9","owner":"1","path":["2469"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"PubDate","attribute_value":"2020-01-23"},"publish_date":"2020-01-23","publish_status":"0","recid":"29121","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["川端康成「雪国」論 : 「天の河」句と連環する物語"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-01-16T04:00:09.417128+00:00"}
