@article{oai:nagoya.repo.nii.ac.jp:00029909, author = {関, 智彦 and Seki, Tomohiko}, journal = {名古屋大学人文学フォーラム}, month = {Mar}, note = {This paper is concerned with tracing the genealogy of Islamic studies in late nineteenth century Spain, and evaluating its historiographical significance in both Islamic and Spanish historiography. The focus is on the interaction that Menéndez Pelayo had with Arabists for his research on Islam. First, the author indicates Pelayo’s relevance to Islamic studies by analyzing the historiographical vision reflected in La ciencia española, and the emphasis that he placed on the Spanish heterodoxy. In order to visualize his position in Arabism, we compare this vision to mentions of Pelayo observable in the catalog of epistles exchanged between foreign scholars and Asín Palacios, a Spanish Arabist. Then, the author analyzes the epistles exchanged between Pelayo and his disciple, Asín, to examine their specific contributions to Spanish Islamic studies, situating their research exchange in the unstable background of late nineteenth century Spain. The author considers the research exchange between Menéndez Pelayo and Asín Palacios the foundation of a genealogy of studies on Islamic philosophy particular to Spain, which contributed to a Spanish philosophical historiography that owes much to several mediaeval Spanish Muslim philosophers.}, pages = {227--241}, title = {19世紀後半のスペインにおけるイスラム研究 : メネンデス・ペラーヨとアラビスタ}, volume = {3}, year = {2020} }
