Many graphic artists produced illustrations for this journal, and one of the most important artist was Otto Eckmann. The style of his graphic illustrations were often inspired by nature, plants and flowers, and it was called “floral style”, whose illustrations combined sinuous curves. These Jugendstil-illustrations in the floral style showed us the vitality of plants which was similar to the French Art Nouveau, but the artists tried to break out of its mold and discover a new style.
