I clarify the connection between national policies concerning the controlled economy and the establishment of book distribution companies such as the Japan Publication Distribution Co., Ltd. (Nippai) and Manchuria Book Distribution Co., Ltd. (Manpai). Additionally, I demonstrate that, paralleling national economic controls, important publishing business organizations actively sought to create industry controls. Lastly, I argue that because the accepted narrative which positions Nippai as the precursor to postwar book distribution systems requires serious reconsideration because it is based on the misapprehension of Nippai as a profit-seeking business., 本研究の遂行にあたり科学研究費補助金(基盤研究(C)、課題番号15K002244)、および同(基盤研究(C)、課題番号19K00343)を受けた。}, pages = {335--350}, title = {統制経済と書物流通 : 帝国の国策書籍配給会社}, volume = {3}, year = {2020} }
