It is shown that the rate constants of the elementary processes for H and D involved have been determined by fitting the solutions of the mass balance equations to the following three experimental data which were obtained by means of the elastic recoil detection technique: (1) the dependence of the steady state depth distribution on the implantation flux and the temperature, (2) the ion-induced re-emission after implantation and (3) the isothermal re-emission after implantation. In order to extrapolate the data for T from those for H and D, the isotope effects are formulated. Furthermore, the thermal desorption spectra have been calculated and compared with the experimental ones, in order to certify validity for the mass balance equations and the rate constants of the elementary processes.
