The present experiment is made at the small ratios of jet to cross-flow velocities, 0.33 to 1.98. Air at room temperature is used for the jet and cross flow in the subsonic range. The floor pressure distributions around the jet hole are compared with those around a solid cylinder perpendicular to the channel floor, on which a boundary layer grows. The pressure distributions on the channel floor and the nozzle-exit plane and the correlation between them are shown. The present results are available for verification of numerical analyses and give correct boundary conditions on and around the nozzle-exit plane. An effect of the entrainment by the jet on the flow separation downstream of the jet hole is also discussed.}, pages = {99--114}, title = {Distributions of pressure induced on a flat plate by a small velocity-ratio jet issuing normally into a cross flow}, volume = {46}, year = {1994} }
