Hk konnte durch ein einfach von der binären-zur trinären Legierung verallgemeinertes Atompaar-Ordnungsmodell erklärt werden. Mittels Suszeptibilitätsmessungen wurde die Strukturkonstante S abgeschätzt, die ein Maß für die lokalen Anisotropien ist, die die lokale Magnetisierungsschwankung in der Schicht bewirkt. Die gemessenen Wandkoerzitivkrafte stimmen gut mit den nach einer Theorie von Hoffmann berechneten überein.
