This research, about a yato -landscape in Ichinomiya-cho, Hoi-gun, Aichi-prefecture, were mainly on the basis of field works, old documents, interviews with inhabitants and aerial photographs. The resulting data of the landscape, which had no historical photographs, were shown as visual image pictures in some particular epochs for the landscape. It was clear that the yato -landscape has been strongly influenced by the external pressure, such as the Second World War, reducing policy of the acreage under cultivation of rice, and pine wilting disease.
