However, lifecycle analysis was rare to be used to evaluate such new types of civil infrastructures. In this research, the general lifecycle assessment methodology is modified for evaluating the new types of civil infrastructures. Furthermore, this modified methodology is applied for comparing the lifecycle performance of a conventional bridge and a minimized girder bridge, which is a new type of bridges and has been constructed in the second Tokyo-Nagoya-Osaka expressway. Finally, the accelerated exposure test of steels and seismic isolation bearings is dealt with and some useful test results for on the durability to perform the lifecycle analysis of bridges are obtained., US-Japan Seminar on Advanced Stability and Seismicity Concept for Performance-based Design of Steel and Composite Structures, Kyoto, Japan, July 23-26, 2001}, title = {Bridge Lifecycle Analysis and Durability Evaluation Using Accelerated Exposure Test}, year = {2001} }
