The accelerated exposure tests of rubber material of bearings were conducted under various conditions: 1) ozone atmosphere, 2) heat, 3) sunlight, 4) cyclic atomizing of salt water and 5) cyclic acid rain. Mechanical characteristics of the rubbers were investigated after the accelerated exposure test and some useful results were obtained from the tests. The deterioration due to ozone was converged at the early stage of the accelerated exposure test for 1536 hours, while the deterioration due to heat was not yet converged even after 1536 hours., IABSE Symposium, Towards a Better Built Environment-Innovation, Sustainability, Information Technology, Melbourne, Australia, September 11-13, 2002(CD-ROM). 2002, p.268-269}, pages = {268--269}, title = {Study on environmental durability of rubber bearing for bridges}, year = {2002} }
