This bibliography investigates how Hansen's disease used to be treated, studied and coped with by the medical world in Aichi Prefecture, through the medical journals published in the pre-war days (up to 1945).  Investigation was made into the artivles includes in (1) the research journals issued by several schools which later evolved into the Medical School of Nagoya University; (2) the journals of Kooseikan Hospital, one of the then representative private institutes for medical treatment and research; (3) Kansai-Ikai-Jihoo, a medical periodical which was widely in circulation in Aichi and Kansei area.  In addition, (4) the articles referreing to the cases of Aichi Prefecture extracted from Rai- bunken Mokuroku (Hansen's desease bibliography were compiled, too.  Since the judicial decision and the compromise of last year, on the case of governmental compensation to the Hansen's disease patients, efforts to reconsider this disease have been being made everywhere by individuals as well as by administration.
