Regarding point (3), I argue that concept representation is dynamic, and discuss my assumptions on the issue. Concerning point (5), researchers should control for the type of bilingual in experiments and should clearly state biographical data, language history, language stability, function of languages, proficiency and language mode of the participants. 内容記述 Because the field of bilingual memory is relatively new, many methodological and\
conceptual issues still require discussion. This paper looks at six such controversial issues, as follows: (1) distinction between conceptual representation and semantic representation; (2) cultural factors; (3) whether conceptual representation is static or dynamic; (4) the definition of bilingual representation; (5) type of bilingualism; (6) whether tasks, such as priming task or stroop test, designed for understanding processing on the monolingual field, are appropriate for investigating bilingual representation. Points (1) and (4) are related.
