 note = {A desire for national revolution grew in the mid 1920s, during which peried Jiang   Guangci criticized Bingxin’s novels as lacking social consciousness. However, I argue that   Bingxin’s novels contain a strong social consciousness. To analyze this social consciousness,   I looked at the works Autumn Wind and Rain Make One Melancholy, Zhuang Hong’ s Sister,   Last Rest in Peace and Who Killed You. In these novels, all the main female characters   “died”. Through the female “death”, Bingxin’s works reflected the reality of her generation,   which was dominated by the May ４ Movement. Moreover, in female “death”, Bingxin   stressed women’s dignity and the importance of women’s education.},
