 note = {Development of the West region and China’s entry into WTO are two hot issues in the 21st century. Policies for developing the West region were formulated before China’s entry into WTO, so that many policies are not concordant and even conflicting with the regulation of WTO. With China’s entry into WTO, formulation of domestic policies must be in accordance with the regulation of WTO. Therefore, policies for developing the West region must be adjusted and deregulated. This essay aims at putting forward the direction for the  future development of the West region in China on the basis of deep analysis of the regulations and new trade agreements of WTO.},
