@phdthesis{oai:nagoya.repo.nii.ac.jp:00005006, author = {Isobe, Minoru and 磯部, 稔}, month = {May}, note = {The diapause hormone (DH), secreted from the suboesophageal ganglion is responsible for the embryonic diapause in the silkworm, Bombyx mori L.. It was extracted by an efficient procedure from two millions of mated male adult heads of the silkworm. At least two species of DH were separated from the extracts (a complex lipid fraction) by gel permeation chromatography with Sephadex LH-20 by organic eluants. One of them was further purified by repeating gel permeation column chromatography with Merckogel R Type OR 6000 in the cold and dark finally to give a single peak with high DH activity. This preparation seems to be chemically pure and its molecular weight is chromatographically estimated to be between 2,000 and 4,000. Other characteristics of DH are also presented. Biological activity of the final DH preparation is discussed with reference to other insect hormones such as juvenile and α-ecdysone., 名古屋大学博士学位論文 学位の種類:農学博士 (論文) 学位授与年月日:昭和48年5月31日}, school = {名古屋大学, NAGOYA University}, title = {Chemical Studies on the Silkworm Diapause Hormone}, year = {1973} }
