@phdthesis{oai:nagoya.repo.nii.ac.jp:00005062, author = {氏原, 温 and Ujihara, Atsushi}, month = {Jan}, note = {The Plio-Pleistocene water temperature is evaluated for the Miyazaki, Kakegawa and Boso districts on the Pacific coast of Japan on the basis of pteropod fossils. Three types of pteropod assemblages, MⅠ, MⅡ and MⅢ, occur in sediments of the N18 zone to the middle part of the N20 zone, and four types occur in the upper part of the N20 zone to the N22 zone. The following geographic distribution patterns are assumed for these assemblages from the modern geographic distribution of living species among their principal constituent species; the Transition Zone and higher latitudes of the Circumglobal Warm-water Region for the MⅠ and KⅠ assemblages, lower latitudes of the Transition Zone and the Circumglobal Warm-water Region for the MⅡ and KⅡ assemblages, the Circumglobal Warm-water Region for the MⅢ and KⅢ assemblages, and lower latitudes of the Circumglobal Warm-water Region for the KⅣ assemblage. Seven distinctive warm periods (labeled W-1 to W-7) and 5 cool periods (labeled C-1 to C-5 in chronological order) are recognized in Plio-Pleistocene reconstructed paleoclimatic curves. The ages of these paleoclimatic events are as follows: W-1, C-1 and W-2; in the N18 to the middle part of the N20 zone, C-2 and C-3; in the upper part of the N20 zone, W-4, C-3 and W-5; in the N21 zone, W-6, W-7, C-4 and C-5; in the N22 zone., 名古屋大学博士学位論文 学位の種類:博士(理学) (論文) 学位授与年月日:平成10年1月19日}, school = {名古屋大学, Nagoya University}, title = {日本の太平洋岸における鮮新一更新世の古水温変遷}, year = {1998} }
