An energy equation is derived, which focuses on particle velocity and electric field parallel to the magnetic field B. It is then shown that electrons can be reflected by a negative dip of F, where F is the integral of the parallel electric field, E∥=（E・B) /B, along B. The parallel energy is decreased after the reflection owing to the recovery of F to positive values. This leads to deep electron trapping.
