In this paper we deal with the minimization of the strain energy, the kinetic energy and the absolute value of mean compliance. We apply the traction method that was proposed as a solution to the domain optimization problems in elliptic boundary value problems. In this paper we formulate the domain optimization problems using the speed method and drive the shape gradient functions by the Lagrange multiplier method.
