It also discusses the disparity between the educational goals of the Qingzhen Female Schools and the students\u0027 awareness. While the Qingzhen Female Schools teach the common knowledge of Shariya, students also study about gender equality education in the Islamic way. In Islam, gender equality includes equality in such fields as human rights, personality, dignity, rights for education and rights for inheritance, while at the same time it excludes the equal right for women to participate in society. Islamic society recognizes women\u0027s participation in society only when it is directly related to their role in the household. The research findings indicate that this is also true for Linxia Chinese-Islamic Female School, which endeavors toward educating women to be both good housewives and wise mothers. Hence, the school follows a closed and restrictive system whereby students are not allowed to leave campus without teachers\u0027 permission, and must spend the entire school day on studies and praying. However, students are not content with Islamic restrictions on women\u0027s participation in society. They intend to become women who take active roles in society, and are seen to be influenced by the words of Chairman Mao Zedong who stated \"women support half of the world. \"The female students do not want to return to their traditional households upon completion of studies at the Qingzhen Female Schools. 内容記述 | This research describes the Islamic education and the living conditions of students at Qingzhen Female Schools in China, which is heretofore relatively unknown. It also discusses the disparity between the educational goals of the Qingzhen Female Schools and the students' awareness. While the Qingzhen Female Schools teach the common knowledge of Shariya, students also study about gender equality education in the Islamic way. In Islam, gender equality includes equality in such fields as human rights, personality, dignity, rights for education and rights for inheritance, while at the same time it excludes the equal right for women to participate in society. Islamic society recognizes women's participation in society only when it is directly related to their role in the household.
