One of them describes damage of many embankments located just on inclined bedrocks and the other shows rail buckling on the structures caused by an outflow or subsidence of the track ballast where the damage of the embankment itself was small. In this research, by the investigations of the damage found in the past earthquakes and the Mid Niigata prefecture Earthquake in 2004, the damage patterns which can be seen on the railway embankments are specified and the sites that need seismic retrofitting are selected by means of GIS. In addition, the new methods are proposed here to enable seismic evaluation of an embankment on inclined bedrocks and to prevent an outflow of ballast by installing seismic ballast retaining walls that can be applied to whole embankment structures.}, pages = {743--752}, title = {鉄道盛土の新たな耐震評価方法と耐震補強工法の検討}, volume = {52A}, year = {2006} }
