 note = {The purpose of this study was to examine the social information processing of assertion. 457 junior high school students completed the questionaire, consisting items on emotional-elicit scales and social information processing scales (attributional bias step, goal clarification step and response enactment step). Path analysis indicated that friendship goal and assertive goal contributed positively to the enactment of assertion. There were different social information processing patterns between low emotion-elicited group and high emotion-elicited group. High emotion-elicted group showed weak relations among social information processing steps.
