The proposed scheme uses multiple antennas at a transmitter and a receiver, and also multiple relay terminals to provide diversity gain against fading and shadowing. If the separation of antennas at the transmitter or the receiver is not enough, then diversity gain is influenced by correlation at the transmitter or the receiver.
