 note = {The purpose of this paper is to examine how a warrior describe his wives’ body and their behaviour for going out on his diary : Ohmurochuki 1698-1717. His name is ASAHI Bunzaemon who was charged as a magistrate of Owari-han. Though former papers and novels described him as a heavy drunker and lechery man, it is found he was honestly helping both of his former wife and second wife when they got sick, had baby or want out of house. For the women those days, pregnancy and delivery were very sever, and they were frightened of epidemic disease, especially smallpox. First wife affected this disease. By various treatment such as  bathing  in the sake bath, eating rice gruel with carrot, praying, wearing red-colored etc., she, fortunately, recovered. Second wife had a stillborn baby twice. Destination of going out were mostly their native houses and sometimes temples and shrines. It is worthy noted wherever they went out Bunzaemon and his mother often escorted them. Second wife Sume often went outside with first wife’s daughter, and after she married, Sume began to visit the daughter’s married house.},
