In historical archaeology until the present, a study to just apply an archeological phenomenon to content of documents was the mainstream. However, recently a claim that we should make much of archeological original methods is performed, and I agree it. And with that in mind, as a concrete example on thinking about ancient society, I take up three phenomena and discuss it. At first, as local society image of the ritsuryo (civil and penal codes) period, I did not agree an opinion that all things were gathered centrally, and I insist that many things were entrusted local governments, and central government was grasped these precisely, if necessary, to applied effectively. To the second, as an ideal method of ritsuryo system of the latter ancient period, from an archeological side, often insisted an idea of this system was already collapsed and declined. But I insisted the collection and promotion of efficiency of the production organization were promoted positively by kokushi (provincial supervisor). To the third, about the start time of the Middle Ages when looked from manual industry production, I insisted that change of production systems occurred different time every production. I performed a proposal about the direction that historical archaeology would aim at in future by putting up such examples.}, pages = {1--11}, title = {手工業生産からみた奈良・平安期の地方社会}, volume = {53}, year = {2007} }
