Don) plantation in the Nagoya University Forest. Within the forest, a 30m×35m plot where included two small streams was established, and the geographical features and tree heights of all trees within the plot were measured. The dominant tree height within the plot did not show any significant correlation with the distance from the streams to the tree, the angle of inclination around the tree, and the altitude of the tree. These results suggested that the topographical factors within the forest would not affect the dominant tree height
